YOUTH PROGRAM

The specific aim of Youth Program is to build competences of youth workers in order to empower inclusion, active participation and entrepreneurial skills of fewer opportunities youth, as well as youth who have minor disabilities Immigrants and refugees, excluded on behalf of their impairment, social status, financial status or education.

Youth Program objectives are:

  • Fostering empowerment active participation and sense of entrepreneurship of fewer opportunities youths;

  • Promoting social inclusion of this target group aged 18 to 30 years old through developing comprehensive educational methods and techniques by deploying a complementary set of knowledge, experience and specialised competences embedded in the different partner organisations and regional approaches.

In the same time, we are bridging involvement of successful entrepreneurs and youth/social workers and the target youth for inspiring entrepreneurial dialogue and action taking amongst NGOs and their beneficiaries.

In order to achieve its aims, the youth program project carries out the following activities:

  • Seminar;

  • Format Training Course;

  • Youth Exchange;

  • Job shadowing.

Our planned results after the implementation of this project are the following:

  • Outputs:

    • Handbook;

    • Report on Entrepreneurship Best Practices;

  • Outcomes:

    • Raising awareness of global issues in the field of youth: skills and best practices in the field of youth, motivation, raising awareness of values, self-awareness, mind-body awareness and practical methods for enhancing personal states, perspectives;

  • Stimulating capacity building, entrepreneurial thinking and employability in the NGO sector for young people;

  • Social development and participation by boosting the soft skills of youth/social workers. In this way participants are learning about applied methods for empowering disabled and fewer opportunities youth that contribute further to the active participation leading to social development;

  • Developing tools for community participation through new methods of enriching practical abilities and tools for inspiring active Immigrant, refugees and community engagement;

  • Stimulating employability and entrepreneurial abilities by supporting the learning transfer of knowledge, skills and competences into adopting attitudes and behaviours to the requirements of the actual job market, of fewer opportunities youth with support of Non Formal Education methods;

  • Fostering capacity building, entrepreneurial thinking and employability in the NGO sector for young people;

  • Increasing direct access to entrepreneurial learning and competences by youngsters and youth operators all over the British-Colombia through an open-access learning Web Platform.
